DAY 1 AT DEOLALI

The day began with self-introductions - profile & expectations. During the DBC it's interesting to see a group of mixed professionals and interact with them for using digital techniques in the development projects of our NGOs.
Post lunch session began with Aditi & KK giving a presentation on FOSS, copyright, licensing, etc.
Nagarjuna came in with a lot of insightful points. The GNU and the hacker movement were also described.
Then we had a session by Pullak Gupta of A.Little.World and Zero-Mass Foundation on RBI's financial initiative and their project in AP, Mizoram & Pithoragarh using mobile digital technology to set up Customer Service Points in villages. They gave a demo of the transaction process.
Freeman gave a brief intro to Blogging and here we are, making a beginning.......
